Shane Marc Bluestone Foundation

Shane Marc Bluestone Foundation (SMB Foundation) was established in 2005 by founder Marc Bluestone following the seven-week Superior Court jury trial that brought to light the atrocious medical malpractice perpetrated on his beloved dog Shane. Fueled by his love for all dogs, Marc now considers it his life’s mission and destiny to improve the quality of life for dogs everywhere through the SMB Foundation, for the “Well-Being, Proper Health and Love of Dogs,” which is the foundation's slogan.

SMB Foundation is a California Non-Profit Corporation.

The unique logo at the top of this page: PURE LOVE  PURE TRUTH™, (which Marc has trademarked) reflects the spiritual relationship between Human to Human and Human to Animal (Dogs) that Marc wishes to convey through his speaking engagements, lectures, guest appearances on TV shows, etc.

“Dogs are blessings from God intrinsically by their very nature.” Marc states: “I had 16 beautiful years together with my beloved dog Tanya (1979-1995). My mother adored her as well. Then you know Shane (1996-1999) who was three when she was killed. In 2003 I brought home my Starr as a puppy. All these dogs have enriched my life way beyond example—PURE LOVE.” 

What Marc brings is essential. What each person (owner) for the dog brings is not just the obvious—food, shelter, etc. One size does not fit all. As Marc states: “People have said to me about all of my dogs that there is something so surreal and spiritual—the way they look, move and observe it all—when true love, devotion, respect and dignity is given to the dog, every moment in a natural manner, this brings out the best in human and animal.”

Note: Marc has organized his home inside and outside with safety, freedom and joy of movement for all his dogs—from Tanya to Shane and now Starr—always with clean surroundings.

Marc adds that “It is paramount how the person conducts him- or herself to their dog in every moment—when it isn’t convenient and adversities arise in life—either for you, your dog or both. Freedom for life for both the human being and dog link!”

Marc hopes to promote through the SMB Foundation and speaking engagements that it is very important for the public at large to:

• provide proper care for dogs at home
  (Marc’s home (both outside and inside) is organized for the freedom of joy and movement for all his “babies,” from Tanya, Shane and now Starr.)
• give proper medical care to dogs
• increase the dignity accorded to dogs in our society
• increase efforts to identify and impose responsibility on those persons and entities who purposefully harm dogs
• increase public appreciation for the good will and love engendered by dogs, including providing companionship to the elderly
• promote those persons and entities who, through their actions, enhance the living environment for dogs
• encourage young people to become actively involved in programs to enrich the lives of dogs
• promote the ethical treatment of dogs

SMB Foundation missions and goals include:

1)      To continue to promote the slogan, “For the well-being, proper health and love of dogs” and lead by examples with our actions and deeds. Our actions and deeds all encircle and combine with others.

2)      The proposal to have a state holiday, and then a national holiday, annually on April 2 to commemorate the infamous day Shane died as a memorial, and in memory of Shane to have the American people honor ALL dogs.

3)      Promoting to totally stop the killing of dogs in pounds and shelters because the dogs are unwanted and there are too many.

4)      To go past the “political maze” to protect the rights of dogs and the people in their lives.

5)      To promote respect, devotion and dignity to all dogs.

6)      To continue to promote that anyone who purposefully harms a dog should be guilty of a felony.

7)      To promote how the dog brings out the best in good people with their devotion, loyalty and love.

8)      To stop people from abusing or harming dogs in any manner, including preventing experimentation on dogs for “research.”

9)      To hold responsible parties accountable for their conduct and actions which are harmful in any manner to dogs.

10)  To always observe justice under the law and never go above the law.

11)  To reveal to the public any person or entity who “pretends with their façade” to help dogs, but in reality is using the system for their self-serving interests and cares at the expense of the dogs.

12)  To reveal those people who use and hide behind the judicial system with unethical means who harm the human and dog bond.

13)  To eventually build, open and oversee a home to be called SMB Sanctuary with the purpose being to provide a sanctuary to treat, house and love thousands of unwanted and stray dogs until they are adopted. Note: This will take millions of dollars.
